What is AAU Club Membership?
AAU Club Membership is for organizations incorporated or unincorporated such as Y.M.C.A’s, Boys & Girls Club’s, Businesses, Mom & Pop Teams, etc
(Club example: Incorporated Groups such as YMCA's, Boys' & Girls' Clubs, Parks & Recreations, Churches, Businesses or Unincorporated Groups such as 'Mom and Pop' teams, squads, individual groups, multiple teams, multiple groups, etc)
Some sport rules require club membership. See your appropriate sport's rulebook/handbook.
Club membership is divided into 3 levels. Clubs receive the following benefits:
Club Level 3
Eligible to participate in events.
Eligible to vote at appropriate District meetings.
Eligible to receive sanction for practice insurance.
Eligible to receive sanction to host an event.
Eligible to use AAU Name & Logo in AAU sanctioned events.
Eligible for tax-exempt status.
Eligible to accept tax-exempt donations.
Eligible to become sales tax exempt in your state.
Club Level 2
Eligible to participate in events.
Eligible to vote at appropriate District meetings.
Eligible to receive sanction for practice insurance.
Eligible to receive sanction to host an event.
Eligible to use AAU Name & Logo in AAU sanctioned events.
Club Level 1
Eligible to participate in events.
Eligible to vote at appropriate District meetings.
